For Mizzou’s 114th annual homecoming, a tradition that brings together past, present and future Tigers once a year, I had the honor and privilege of serving on the university’s Homecoming Steering Committee. This incredible opportunity allowed me to collaborate and lead alongside some of Mizzou’s most dedicated student leaders across the student body. Together, we made history, hosting the fourth largest blood drive in American Red Cross history, collecting over 70,000 pounds of food through our annual Tiger Food Fight, and organizing yet another successful morning for Missouri’s largest parade. But the impact we made reached far beyond the record books, it strengthened our Tiger community as well.

As Account Manager on our PR Committee, my team and I had the privilege of bringing this long-standing and unifying tradition to life through thoughtful public relations and digital advertising efforts. From planning content calendars, photography, graphic creation, short form video conducting and more, we had a busy yet packed feed digitally storytelling Mizzou Homecoming 2025- here are some of the final numbers that reflect our PR committee’s hard work and collaboration:

📈 In one month, we gathered over 2.8M views on @mizzouhomecoming on IG alone, this is over 9x the amount of current/past Mizzou students to attend the university in the past 185 years
📈 Brought the account up to 16.5K current followers in the 7 months operating and posting while leading up to Homecoming
📈 From August to September, posted 28 reels/posts bringing views up by over 1300%
📈 By experimenting with reels, optimizing our posting times, and encouraging post shares, we reached a wider audience with 58% of our total views came from non-followers
